Our immediate firm consists of nine people: Phil Albitz, Chris Miloe, Paul Miloe, Clete Albitz, and Sylvia Salguero (who are registered securities representatives), along with Velma Albitz, Barbara Miloe, Paula Burton, and Vance Albitz (our key support personnel). Our network of professionals include estate planning attorneys, insurance advisors, CPAs, back-office support from one of the leading brokerage firms in the United States, and qualified retirement plan specialists and administrators, all of whom provide the skill and experience necessary for our clients’ success.

Phil Albitz is a veteran Financial Advisor and chief investment portfolio manager for our managed accounts. He is a Certified Financial Planner® and has been registered in the securities business since 1982. His strength is in stock market analysis, portfolio design, and retirement income strategies. Phil works closely with clients to help them meet their goals and objectives in a personal and professional manner. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching his two sons, Clete and Vance, compete in basketball and baseball. Phil was born and raised in Southern California and currently resides with his wife Velma in Torrance.

Chris Miloe, MBA

Chris Miloe is the senior partner of Albitz/Miloe and Associates, Inc. He is a respected financial advisor, lecturer and consultant in the areas of personal finance, business retirement plans, and estate planning. Chris' Bachelor's and MBA degrees in Finance led him to a career in the financial advisory business in 1968 starting with his father's firm Miloe & Associates. Chris grew up and has spent most of his life in the South Bay. He enjoys helping people with their investments, supporting many of our local charitable organizations, serving on the Boards and Committees of the Palos Verdes Tennis Club, the Palos Verdes Beach and Athletic Club (The PV Pool at Malaga Cove), the Rolling Hills Golf Club, and assisting the Terraces Condominiums as a Board and Grounds Committee member. Chris is very active with social and fun sports including golf, tennis, surfing, and skiing. Chris and his wife Barbara love traveling, spending part of their time at their second home in Hawaii, playing golf, and spending every moment possible with their married children and grandchildren.

Paul Miloe, Financial Advisor

Paul Miloe has been actively working as a financial advisor with our firm since 1996. His focus centers around personal and retirement planning, life insurance, annuities, college savings plans, and senior issues including long-term care insurance. He is also a branch manager for Cetera Advisor Networks. Paul graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Paul was born in San Pedro, California and currently resides there along with his wife Mary, daughter Jenna, and son Thomas.

Clete Albitz, CFP®

Clete Albitz graduated with a degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego in 2005. Clete joined Albitz/Miloe and Associates, Inc. in late 2005 after working indirectly with the company for over ten years. In 2009, Clete obtained his designation as a Certified Financial Planner®. He actively assists with the investment and portfolio analysis within the managed accounts and helps our clients with the details that go along with having money. Clete enjoys spending time with his wife, Chrissy, as well as playing and coaching basketball.

Sylvia Salguero, Financial Advisor

Sylvia Salguero joined Albitz/Miloe in 2001, guiding families, especially women and small businesses with the development of investment strategies, portfolio construction, as well as implementing solutions to help meet their goals and objectives. Sylvia has served on committees of various charitable and religious organizations.

Paula Burton

Paula Burton is an Administrative Assistant and provides exceptional client service and office support for Albitz/Miloe. She has been with Albitz/Miloe since 2005. Paula is a native of California and currently resides in Torrance with her husband Tracy and two sons Ryan and Aaron. Her hobbies include needle work and quilting.

Velma Albitz

Velma Albitz has been with the company since day one. She retired as an engineer to raise Clete and Vance, and began working part time at Albitz/Miloe writing the many computer programs, spreadsheets, forms, and brochures; many of which are still used today. Her main jobs are producing the GVA quarterly reports, typesetting the stationary, newsletters and other mailings, and assisting whenever needed.

Barbara Miloe

Barbara Miloe has worked with Albitz/Miloe since 1985. She brings many skill sets to the firm with a primary focus on accounting, payroll, and office management. She is instrumental in the company seminars; from the initial planning through the finishing touches. Barbara is a driving force behind Albitz/Miloe, the wife of Chris Miloe, and the step-mother to Paul and Heidi Miloe.

Vance Albitz

Vance Albitz works with Albitz/Miloe as an independent contractor during the off-season of his professional baseball career with the St. Louis Cardinals (AA/AAA). His main functions at Albitz/Miloe include technology related support, investment research, and assisting advisors. In his spare time, Vance gives baseball lessons to players of all ages in Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Palos Verdes.
